New Food Bank for the Heartland Video works to clear up misconceptions and spread awareness

Over the years, we’ve worked with Food Bank for the Heartland to produce videos that promote the organization, inspire volunteers and encourage donations. This time, the Food Bank team wanted to do things a little differently.

They saw an opportunity to educate the public, while clearing up some common misconceptions – like the difference between a food bank and a food pantry, or the value of a small cash donation over an expired can of lima beans.

Together, we brainstormed the best way to tell this story, ultimately landing on an FAQ-style video that combines an engaging narrative, interviews with members of the public, valuable insight from Food Bank leadership and an inside look at their operations.

The final result, which premiered at the Food Bank’s annual Celebrity Chef event in March, is informational and thought provoking, offering a deeper understanding of how the organization helps feed hungry children and families across Nebraska and Western Iowa – and how a single dollar can do a world of good for people in need.
